If you’re not able to read all the words, that’s okay! Just try to find the words in the sentence.
If you know Chinese, you can hlep your child find the word and read the others for them.
Dot it: you can just color in the circle, or use circle stickers or these colored paint daubers that I love. Praise their effort and if they feel too nervous or frustrated, provide a lightly colored example for them to try and trace. Your child may or may not be able to create the word on their own. You can try a pencil or crayons or even chalk or paints if you’d like to make it more exciting! Provide your child with CHOICES as they work on the page, so they feel empowered and a sense of ownership over their learning. They can highlight them with a highlighter, circle them, X them out, etc. Find the focus word: this is like a word search game, but we want to find all the target characters. Make it perfectly neat or messy – we want to encourage FUN, not frustration!
